Coquina Fun and Kings Crowns!!

Even though they are very common on the beaches of southwest Florida, I've always loved coquinas.  They look like butterflies, and they come in nearly every color!  Lighthouse Beach on Sanibel Island was teeming with empty coquina shells this past weekend.

Because they are so colorful, they look great on shell crafts!

My best finds of the weekend however were kings crowns.  They were completely covered in green, slimy stuff, but a simple soak in a half bleach/half water solution will take care of that.
