Summer is Here! Long Overdue Post

It's been a long time since I've written.  I hope everyone reading this had an excellent Christmas and is off to a great start on summer.

My Etsy shop, The Sleepy Seahorse, is still going strong, and so I've got many new seashell creations to share with you as well as some photos from some of my recent beach adventures. 

I do most of my shelling on Sanibel/Captiva Islands and Siesta Key.  This is a pear shaped whelk that I found on my last trip to Sanibel.

I'm often fortunate to see wildlife on my beach adventures, and I'm always glad to see that amidst all of the development in southwest Florida, the beaches are still teeming with life.

My favorite time of day to go to the beach is sunset.  Every evening is different and beautiful.
